Tammy Damrath

Tammy has been in the wellness industry since 1990 when she started teaching high-impact aerobics while studying engineering in college.  She has been through many fitness and nutrition fads! She currently teaches strength training, circuit training, HIIT, and yoga at Club Greenwood, bootcamps at local businesses and outdoor parks, and leads in-home personal training.  She is known for her high-energy teaching style and for developing unique workouts!  Several years ago, she expanded her wellness programs to focus more on nutrition therapy after completing several programs including: Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach, NASM Nutrition Specialist, Functional Nutrition Therapy Practitioner program through the Nutritional Therapy Association, and the Restorative Wellness Solutions Level 1 Practitioner program.  She runs small group nutrition programs and sees private nutrition clients at Lions Den SMP in the Denver Tech Center.

My primary goal in this cooperative is to acquire fitness and nutrition therapy clients.  My desire to do so in this cooperative is based on the fact that we are a group of like-minded wellness professionals that can collaborate on the latest holistic research.  We can feel confident that we can send our clients to other cooperative members if we find we are not best equipped to help them.
Fitness and nutrition are a second career for me, with my first being environmental engineering.  I’ve been in the fitness and wellness industry since 1990; personal training private clients, teaching group fitness and yoga classes, and providing holistic nutrition therapy.  Although I’ve completed comprehensive coursework and training in holistic nutrition, I’m currently working toward becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).  Because I have an M.S. in engineering, I’m able to follow a non-traditional and quicker path to the RDN.  Having the western medicine credential will allow me to expand my client base.   However, as I become more well versed in this slightly different approach to nutrition, I plan to stay true to my holistic roots.

Tammy was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Colorado in 1997.  She lives in the Tech Center with her husband, two boys, and one energetic Doodle. She enjoys gardening, camping, hiking, sewing, cooking, yoga, and running.
